Everyday Make-up Essentials

Here are the make-up products that I reach for every day. Some days I'll only use a little bit of eyeliner, curl my lashes and apply some blush. On other days, I like to be a bit more polished and will take more time, thus use more products. All the items are a must have in my beauty bag and if i didn't have them at an arms reach, I would be a complete mess. During the day, I don't usually wear a lot of make up, but the two things I alway need need to do is line my eyes and fill in my eyebrows. It makes me fill a bit more polished and I secretly believe that these two steps will make me look less like a 12 year old.

Her makeup is just flawless in this picture. I love the smoky neutral eyes, bronzed skin and nude lips. Ashely Olsen evokes glamour and sophistication, she's just one very cool lady.

Black Friday Treats

Last weekend saw a number of American retailers offer special discounts and sale markdowns for Black Friday. Many of my favorite online stores had promotions or began their mid season sales.
Being the avid online shopper that I am, I snapped up a few treats for myself.
This was not such a good idea as I am meant to be saving for a Macbook and to wipe of some my growing credit card debt off. That being said, my credit card took a beating and I purshcased some clothing and make up that I 'needed' to have.
Here is the first part of my weekend haulage.

Marc Jacobs - Baby Aidan

I've been umming and ahh-ing this bag for a while now on Shopbop and at David Jones. The shape of this bag is perfect for every day use, with the choice between wearing the bag on your arms or using the longer strap for your shoulders very practical.
Last week whilst perusing around the city, I stumbled upon a little boutique at QV which actually stocked the baby Aidan in the dirty martini colour. It was even more beautiful in real life and the pebbled leather felt wonderfully soft. I have been so tempted to buy it every since but after a bit of googling, realised that this bag also cam in a few other colours such as navy, wine red and cream. While I really liked the dirty martini, i would love a deep red, navy or grey bag.

This one is definitely going on to my Christmas wish list.

Zoya - Sasha

I'm loving this colour at the moment. It's like a deep red but not so deep that it's too dark. This is my first Zoya nail polish and i absolutely love it. The polish is not thick and it doesn't streak. Two coats and the colour is beautiful. I also love the smaller brush as my hands and fingers are quite small and the nail polish doesn't get all over my cuticles and skin when I apply the polish.

I used to use only OPI nail polish but found that the brush size was a little too big for my small fingers and it would sometimes take a while to dry. That's probably due to my habit of applying thick coats of polish.

Can't wait to get more Zoya nail polishes!!
